On Course Tours & Travel

Full-time | Sydney-based | Office + On-the-Road Hybrid

About Us

At On Course Tours, we pride ourselves on creating unforgettable travel experiences for our clients, specialising in group tours tailored to the over-60s community. With more than 35 years of experience, we offer a diverse range of tours — from exciting day trips to extended adventures across Australia and overseas.

We are a family-owned business known for our friendly, professional approach and our deep commitment to quality service. Our team is passionate about making travel accessible, enjoyable, and memorable for every guest.

As part of our growing team, you'll join a supportive, collaborative environment where your contribution directly helps us deliver extraordinary journeys for our valued travellers.

-----------------------------------

About the Role

We are seeking a people-focused, highly organised, and proactive Group Tour Account Manager to manage relationships with private groups in an allocated geographic zone and support them in planning their extended tours.

This role blends account management, sales development, itinerary planning, and tour coordination. You will spend part of your time on the road meeting with clubs and community groups, and part of your time in the office preparing itineraries, proposals, engaging with suppliers, booking requests and coordinating arrangements.

This is a dynamic role suited to someone who enjoys variety, relationship-building, and managing multiple priorities. You will guide private groups from their initial enquiry through to tour confirmation — helping them choose the right itinerary, tailoring options to their needs, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

This role suits someone who is:

* A natural people person — confident speaking with individuals and presenting to groups
* Strong in organisation, attention to detail, time management, and follow-through
* Comfortable juggling multiple accounts and shifting priorities
* Energised by both field work and creative planning
* Passionate about the travel industry and motivated by being part of a business that genuinely makes a difference in people's lives
-----------------------------------

Key Responsibilities

Tour Coordination & Itinerary Planning

* Assist groups with tour enquiries, inclusions, accessibility considerations, and itinerary suitability
* Create tailored draft itineraries and gather all information required for accurate pricing
* Research and source accommodation, attractions, meals, and transport options that align with group needs
* Liaise with internal teams to secure accommodation allocations and confirm tour dates
* Manage supplier bookings — ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely confirmations
* Reconfirm all arrangements in the lead-up to departure to ensure smooth tour delivery
* Maintain regular communication with group organisers, managing special requests, rooming lists, mobility needs, dietary requirements, and final numbers
* Support the end-to-end logistical planning of each tour, ensuring all components run seamlessly and meet On Course Travel's standards of quality, safety, and senior-friendly travel

Relationship Management & Territory Growth

* Manage all private group accounts within your assigned geographic zone — including identifying new groups and nurturing key existing relationships
* Conduct meetings, presentations, club visits, and proactive outreach
* Promote upcoming program tours as well as customised itinerary options
* Convert new enquiries into confirmed group bookings

Sales Administration & CRM

* Maintain accurate Salesforce records, follow-ups, and opportunity workflows
* Manage your sales pipeline with structured, timely communication
* Record all calls, meetings, and updates consistently
-----------------------------------

What We're Looking For

* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
* Confidence presenting to groups and conducting outbound calls
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
* Comfortable balancing time on the road with office-based planning
* Experience in sales, account management, hospitality, events, or travel (advantageous)
* Experience with group travel or the over-60s market is a bonus but not essential
-----------------------------------

Why Join On Course Travel?

* Be part of a respected family-owned company with genuine care and strong values
* Enjoy a varied role combining field work, customer engagement, and creative itinerary design
* Make a meaningful impact helping groups explore Australia and beyond
* Opportunities to host and accompany group tours to amazing destinations
