Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Shift Team Leader, Ammonia Process Technicians are responsible for meeting production volume, safety and quality in accordance with set targets, performing housekeeping duties, resolving operating issues as they arise and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Participate in the start-up and shutdown of the plant when required.
Monitor plant condition and intervene if necessary.
Perform minor maintenance on plant and equipment if competent to do so and assist in maintenance activities to aid in the timely restart of the plant.
Participate in the execution of plant operations as required.
Phosphate Hill FIFO role roster – roster may vary during initial training (e.g., 8/6 days, 4/3 days, or 8/6D7/7N rosters).
You Will Also Be Responsible For
Completing training modules and being signed off in the ammonia plant operations.
Participating in departmental safety program.
Monitoring plant condition and intervening if necessary.
Demonstrating a willingness to perform safety-focused tasks and contribute to timely plant restart and operations.
About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, able to learn quickly, with demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work well with others while also being an individual contributor. You will have a desire to progress within the department, be a committed team player with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service and achieving results.
Other Desired Skills And Experience Include
Previous ammonia plant process experience.
Commitment to contributing to a safe, inclusive and high-performance culture.
Advanced Boiler, Steam Turbine ticket is a definite advantage.
High levels of mechanical aptitude and process troubleshooting skills.
Experience with DCS systems and process control systems is advantageous.
Trade qualification (desired).
Ability to work collaboratively and to tight deadlines.
Basic computer literacy skills.
Strong ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
