Overview
You are an experienced family lawyer who knows how to handle complex matters with confidence and care. You have built your expertise, managed clients, and carried matters from start to finish, and you are looking for a role where you can step in, take ownership, and feel truly valued.
You might be burnt out from long hours, red tape, and rigid hierarchy in a larger firm. You still want to do meaningful work and help your clients, but you also want balance, flexibility and the ability to work from home.
You have the ability to steady clients in difficult times, offering both understanding and direction. Your professionalism is matched by your care, and you take pride in achieving outcomes without losing sight of the person behind the matter.
This is a Senior Family Law Solicitor role with a boutique firm that is expanding due to demand. With offices in Sydney and Wagga, they are known for their down to earth, hardworking, all female team and their ability to achieve outstanding outcomes across family law, wills and estates, and litigation.
The work is serious, but the team finds ways to laugh, support each other, and keep the day positive. A staff member recently said it is the happiest she has ever been in a workplace, which speaks volumes.
They need someone who is confident, adaptable, and autonomous, a solicitor who does not need hand holding, can manage clients independently, and bill consistently. You will work on a wide range of matters including property settlements, parenting disputes, divorce, contested wills, and estate litigation. Secretarial support is in place so you can focus on the legal work, and the client base is robust and growing.
Flexibility is on offer. This role can be based in Sydney or Wagga or throughout the state. Hours are typically nine to five, but as a senior solicitor you will have the autonomy and trust to manage your workload as you need.
