In this role, you'll shape the future of our region's water and wastewater infrastructure by providing strategic guidance on both new and existing assets.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead strategic planning for water and wastewater infrastructure to meet current and future service needs.
* Develop and maintain water and sewerage network hydraulic models.
* Undertake network planning, capacity assessments and servicing strategies to support growth.
* Analyse water demand and wastewater load data to inform upgrades and optimisation.
* Prepare network planning documentation for annual and 10‑year Capital Works programs.
* Maintain GIS spatial models aligned with Council's population forecasts.
* Provide technical and strategic advice to support capital projects and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure accurate recordkeeping and participate in ongoing professional development.
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Bachelor of Engineering (or related qualification).
* At least five years' experience in water industry infrastructure planning.
* Strong hydrologic, hydraulic and network modelling skills.
* Ability to develop strategic infrastructure and asset management plans.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and best practice.
* Strong technical writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Current Driver's Licence (or ability for reasonable accommodation).
Desirable
* Experience with hydraulic analysis and network modelling software.
