Our organisation is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill a key role in our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial statements, tax returns, and other reports to clients.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal position, you will play a critical role in preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns, providing expert advice to clients on complex tax matters, and guiding junior team members through their development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the client manager to manage a portfolio across diverse industries
* Apply technical expertise to prepare special purpose reports, financial statements, tax returns, and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, and trusts
* Develop and manage client budgets and forecasts
* Assist with consulting work, including provision of tailored tax advice
* Review and provide quality feedback on junior team members' work, supporting their growth through coaching and delegation
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent degree
* Completed CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
* Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, ideally within public practice
* Experience working with medium to large businesses and multi-entity structures
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Motivation to grow professionally and contribute to team development
* A genuine interest in mentoring and upskilling junior team members
* Ability to develop trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues
