We have an exciting opportunity for a Cook to join our innovative team at St Vincent's Care Services, Edgecliff, to create a fine dining experience for residents.
The role involves delivering multi‐course elegant dishes, planning a variety of menus and working alongside a highly experienced team in a dynamic setting that redefines the expectations of aged care.
Working Hours
* Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 6:30 am – 2:30 pm
* Thursdays & Fridays: 10:30 am – 6:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day‐to‐day production with kitchenhands and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
* Prepare menus and deliver fine dining service for residents.
* Follow care‐plan directives and maintain food safety hygiene standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Trade qualification in Commercial cooking (preferred)
* Current Food Handler Certificate
* Proven experience with volume cooking such as hotels, healthcare or similar environments
* Excellent knowledge of all facets of Food Services, including chill production and dining service planning
* Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
* Ability to follow care‐plan directives and comply with food safety hygiene standards
* Must be available for the four scheduled shifts
* High level of customer service skills
* Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
* Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (valid within 6 months)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required
