Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Structural Engineering
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research in structural engineering, with a focus on advanced materials such as fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Civil Engineering specialising in Structural Engineering, with a strong understanding of the principles of structural engineering and experience in experimentation and modelling of structures or structural elements.
The role involves conducting research in the application of FRP composites for repair and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, as well as new construction. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research in structural engineering, focusing on advanced materials and sustainable solutions.
* Develop and implement experimental and modelling techniques to improve the understanding of FRP composite behaviour.
* Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to advance knowledge and best practices in structural engineering.
Requirements:
* PhD in Civil Engineering specialising in Structural Engineering.
