About The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager within Coles' Chef Fresh facility, you will supervise and lead the maintenance team, ensuring that manufacturing equipment and processes maintain high reliability. The Engineering Supervisor will ensure the factory is in optimum condition at all times.
This is a permanent night shift position working 2 PM - 10 PM.
Qualifications
- Experience leading a team of tradespeople in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to work cross‑functionally to deliver results in quality and productivity.
- 5 + years of experience in an FMCG workplace, preferably in a supervisory position.
- Strong experience in preventative maintenance and resource planning.
- Ability to lead, develop and inspire team members, building capability, driving accountability, and creating a great place to work in a fast‑moving, high‑volume environment.
- Trade qualification in Industrial Electrical or Mechanical.
- Commitment to optimising the production process and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent understanding of safety systems such as LOTO, work permits and hazardous work.
- Knowledge of the food processing industry and familiarity with food safety practices such as HACCP and GMP principles.
- CMMS experience (preferably MEX). Ability to manage W/O’s and the team’s activities using MEX.
- Proven use of Root Cause Analysis tools to find and resolve issues.
