Permanent Full-time

Band 5 - $74,861 - $85,591 yearly, plus 12%
statutory superannuation

Are you ready to take your administrative skills to
the next level? Looking for a role with purpose and integrity? An exciting
opportunity is available for a dedicated and self-motivated professional to
join Wellington Shire Council in the permanent full-time role of Corporate Governance
Officer.

This is a role that has impact and makes a
difference across Council. Whether you are looking to start your journey in governance,
or are a seasoned administrative professional, we are looking for a capable and
flexible person to jump into a range of challenging and rewarding
activities.

You
will have a wide range of opportunities to develop your skills in a highly
supportive team environment. Day to day, you
will support the preparation of Council meetings and workshops as well as
providing a high level of professional support
in the delivery of governance and compliance activities across the Council.

We need someone with an eye for detail who is organised and passionate
about delivering efficient service with exceptional administration skills. This
role is integral to the smooth running of Council business with the
preparation of agendas and minutes as well as key administrative assistance
with policies, procedures, delegations and authorisations.

Key responsibilities include:

* Oversee a systematic approach to work schedules and
communications, including the preparation and coordination of Council reports
and agendas.
* Minute taking at Council meetings on the first and
third Tuesday evening of each month.
* Cultivate collaborative relationships and provide
an exceptional level of service and advice across Council.
* Manage Councillor intranet page and maintain the governance
intranet sites.
* Assist in the coordination of Council Elections
(every 4 years) and assist the preparation of Councillor induction and training.
* Undertake special projects and assignments as
required, including fulfilling legislative requirements
* Other responsibilities and projects as directed by Coordinator
Governance & Strategy and Senior Governance & Reporting Officer.

As our ideal candidate you will take initiative and
have the demonstrated capacity to produce high quality work within strict
timeframes in an accurate and efficient manner. You will have excellent time
management skills and a commitment and proven ability to provide the highest
level of service for our internal and external stakeholders with emphasis on
our Councillors.
