About the opportunity
The School of Psychology at the University of Sydney is seeking applications from exceptional candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Level B/C). Applicants may come from any field in Psychology, particularly those aligned to the School's research themes. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing the School's research and teaching profile across all levels of study.

Lecturer qualifications and experience
* A PhD in Psychology or closely related discipline
* A sustained record of independently conducting high‐quality research that builds on and/or supports the School's existing strengths, including publishing research in high-quality international peer‐reviewed journals
* Experience in submitting applications for nationally and/or internationally competitive research funding (e.g. ARC, NHRMC, MRFF) and/or for industry/stakeholder‐linked funding
* A record of establishing an independent research programme and developing a successful research team, including national and/or international collaborations
* Experience in providing outstanding research training (e.g. honours, PhD)
* Delivery of high‐quality teaching, including developing innovative course content and assessments
* Sound experience of teaching and learning, and the ability to contribute to undergraduate, honours and postgraduate teaching in various settings
* High levels of communication and organisational skills relevant to managing research and teaching
* Capacity to contribute to governance, leadership and engagement within the School and the wider University
* Ability to work collaboratively with other academic and professional staff, fostering equity, diversity and inclusion
Senior Lecturer additional expectations
* Ability to establish and lead a team of researchers to enhance the School's standing
* A record of securing nationally competitive research funding (e.g. ARC, NHRMC, MRFF) and/or industry/stakeholder‐linked funding
* Ability to lead curriculum development that enhances student learning outcomes in the Psychology curriculum
