Job Summary
The role of Principal Compliance and Regulation Officer is a key position within the Department of Lands, Planning and Environment. As a senior administrative officer, you will be responsible for administering legislation and providing technical advice on environmental matters related to regulation, compliance, and enforcement.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage compliance and enforcement functions of the Development Coordination Branch relating to land clearing on unzoned land under the Planning Act 1999 across the Territory.
* Undertake and coordinate the development and implementation of environmental compliance programs.
* Provide briefings and supporting documentation, including guidelines, codes of practice and fact sheets on native vegetation management.
Requirements
* High-level experience in administering legislation and providing advice on environmental matters.
* Experience in conducting regulatory investigations.
* High-level project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
