Fire Services Group Holdings, a rapidly growing leader in the fire protection and safety industry, is seeking an experienced and driven Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function and help steer our business through its next phase of growth.
This is your opportunity to work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, lead a capable finance team, and directly influence business performance across multiple entities, including Dynamic Fire and Commercial Fire Group.
Your Mission
To lead and continuously enhance the finance function across Fire Services Group, delivering accurate reporting, driving job profitability analysis, improving systems and processes, managing cash flow, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Outcomes You'll Own
* Timely Financial Reporting: Deliver clear, accurate reports by the 10th business day each month.
* Job Profitability Analysis: Drive margin improvements through detailed job-level analysis.
* Financial Systems & Process Improvement: Improve workflows across finance, HR, suppliers, and inventory and reduce month-end close times.
* Cash Flow Management: Forecast and manage liquidity, reduce days sales outstanding (DSO), and optimise working capital.
* Finance Team Leadership: Build and empower a high-performing finance team with clear roles and accountability.
* Business Integration: Seamlessly merge finance functions across two business units into a streamlined, cohesive operation.

* Financial Acumen – Deep understanding of financial systems, reporting, and cash flow management.
* Leadership & Team Development – Builds a capable finance team, sets high standards, and fosters a collaborative culture.
* Communication & Influence – Clear, concise communication with the CEO and operational teams; able to present financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
* Proactivity & Initiative – Anticipates issues and acts decisively to resolve them.
* Construction experience – Experience in construction project financials, including understanding of cost control, contract management, job profitability, and project lifecycle budgeting, enabling informed financial oversight.
* Tax compliance – responsible for preparing or reviewing tax obligations (GST, payroll tax, FBT).
What You'll Bring to the Table
* 8+ years' experience in operational accounting, with exposure to small and medium-sized businesses.
* Experience leading finance teams.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills – you know how to build trust.
* A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and a bias for action.
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with MYOB preferred.
* Proven ability to lead process improvements and system implementations.
* Experience working across two entities or business units is desirable.
* Willingness to travel domestically.
