About the role:
We're on the hunt for a versatile and drivenAccount Director to lead strategic media campaigns across a diverse client mix in FMCG and government. You'll manage a close-knit team, shape campaign direction, and collaborate with Specialists across strategy, digital, and performance.
This role offers real ownership, visibility, and the chance to grow your leadership profile while deepening your digital planning expertise in a supportive, development-focused environment. You'll work across a portfolio that blends brand-building and performance marketing, with cross-channel campaigns spanning screens, OOH, digital, partnerships, and more. From high-impact brand to always-on digital activity, you'll be at the centre of planning and execution - bringing ideas to life and driving measurable results.
Whether you're an established and competent Senior Account Manager/Associate Account Director stepping up into an Account Director role, or looking to broaden your remit, you'll find visibility, autonomy, and opportunities to develop a vision for your clients, and take ownership in bringing it to life.
You'll drive excellence in client management and project management, as you oversee annual planning, provide direction to your team, and collaborate with Strategy & Product teams within Zenith and Publicis Groupe. With the role skewing towards digital planning and campaign management, you will have a strong appetite to further build and strengthen your online expertise as you lead a core team to plan and implement campaigns across multiple channels.

What you will do with us:
* Own senior client relationships, lead annual planning and quarterly reviews, as well as weekly WIPs, and be a trusted point of contact for strategic guidance and issue resolution.
* Translate comms strategy into comprehensive implementation recommendations which maximise return on investment.
* Oversee digital planning and campaign delivery, with a focus on performance, screens, and partnerships.
* Define key metrics for success in measuring and evaluating campaign performance and creating a framework for ongoing investment decision making.
* Manage a team of Account Managers and Account Executives, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
* Execute plans to enhance agency planning product and grow revenue through specialist services and research initiatives.
* Oversee digital planning and campaign delivery, with a focus on performance, screens, and partnerships.
* Identify and lead media partnership opportunities, working with creative and media partners to bring ideas to life.
* Financial oversight - managing invoicing processes with precision, accuracy, and accountability, and support your leaders with forecasting and budget management.
* Contribute to new business pitches, develop award-worthy case studies, and identify opportunities to grow revenue through specialist services.
* Coordinate stakeholders within strategy, comms planning, innovation, investment and digital practices for brief responses.
* Set clear campaign and media success metrics and establish performance benchmarks.
* Lead relevant application of analytics and research in understanding ROI.
What You'll Bring:
* 5+ years in media, digital, or marketing with strong client and team leadership experience, and an excellent understanding of the Australian media landscape.
* Excellence in client management – you have a track record in building trusted relationships with clients and bring clarity to complex situations, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
* Proven ability in cross-channel planning, particularly across screens and digital.
* Familiarity with campaign management tools, consumer insights platforms, and performance dashboards.
* An in-depth knowledge of syndicated and proprietary tools.
* A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute a strong vision for your clients.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong project management skills.
* Strong management and team development skills - you're an inspiring leader who motivates your team to deliver excellence, and helps foster a culture of growth, collaboration, and accountability.
* Excellent attention to detail – you're super organised, and can manage multiple priorities with precision and confidence, and know when to escalate issues promptly.
