Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Culinary Logistics Manager to join our team at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). In this role you will be responsible for building and leading a strong back of house kitchen stewarding team who oversee and maintain the cleanliness of all food and beverage production areas and outlets. What will you do?
* Manage stewarding department rosters, ensuring compliance with modern award and working rights regulations
* Provide comprehensive on‐the‐job training to new team members, maintaining adherence to high standards
* Supervise kitchen stewards with a hands‐on approach, ensuring efficient shift operations
* Oversee the deep cleaning of kitchens and back‐of‐house areas, ensuring all tasks meet the highest hygiene and WHS standards
* Ensure safe handling and use of chemicals during cleaning processes
More about you
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in a commercial kitchen environment or large stewarding department
* Understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, chemical handling, food safety, HACCP, and WHS requirements
* Culinary qualifications will be highly regarded
* Proven written and oral communication skills and sound computer literacy
* Ability to work a 7‐day roster including morning and evening shifts, public holidays, and weekends
Remuneration: $100K + superannuation
