**yourtown** Social Enterprises is looking for 8 young people who are enthusiastic about starting a career in Construction.
Here is your opportunity to learn more about the industry through hands on practical experience combined with wrap around training provided by **yourtown** Social Enterprises. You will be supported by a qualified Trainer and a Youth Worker to help you develop your skills and experience!
**Program Information**
During the Traineeship you will gain:
- 21 weeks of paid industry experience
- Certificate I in Construction
- Assistance transitioning into full time employment following your traineeship
During this Traineeship you will learn a variety of construction skills such as kitchen and bathroom remodelling, cabinet installation, tiling, painting, wall construction and plumbing.
**Who can apply?**
- Young People aged 15 to 24;
- Must meet eligibility requirements for a Working with Children Check;
- Must be able to complete a National Police Check;
- Must NOT have completed a Certificate I in Construction;
- Not currently a full time student at TAFE, University or School;
- Be local to the area;
- Permanent resident of Australia;
- New Zealand citizen permanently residing in Qld;
- Refugee and Humanitarian Visa Holder living in Qld; or
- Temporary Visa Holder living in Qld with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency.
