We are currently seeking a Project Engineer Construction who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position involves assisting with planning and programming activities to ensure the most efficient use of resources and the completion of the project in accordance with safety, environmental, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the supervision and management of subcontractors to satisfy quality, safety, and programme requirements.
* Ensuring compliance with applicable design, standards, QA/QC requirements, and specifications.
* Developing effective and economically viable engineering solutions.
* Developing and strengthening stakeholder relationships to support project goals.
* Collaborating with the Senior Construction Manager and the construction team for ETCS L2 project execution.
* Producing and managing ITPs, Excavation Permits, and WABs.
* Ensuring compliance with legislation applicable to the work group and its activities, including Electrical Safety, Workplace Health and Safety, and Environmental Management.
* Demonstrating full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.
Requirements:
* A degree in engineering or equivalent qualification that is acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia.
* At least 2 years of experience in engineering in a rail, civil, or electrical/signalling construction environment.
* Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.
* Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
* Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.
* Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
