Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Coordinator to join our team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to plans and timelines.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive construction project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to define project requirements.
* Supervise subcontractors, site crews, and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
* Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
* Monitor expenses, control costs, and manage change orders.
* Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices and ensure proper documentation.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
* Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders.
* Maintain detailed project documentation, including logs, reports, and records.
Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years' experience as a project manager for a head contractor/residential builder in Australia.
* Strong understanding of the SA construction market and subcontractors.
* Ability to travel to various job sites across Adelaide on a weekly basis.
