The role entails the promotion of trust and understanding between the QPS and the community in order to:
- Reduce and prevent crime
- Divert people from the criminal justice system
- Advise and educate Police officers on culture and cultural issues and
- Improve community knowledge of law and order issues and policing services
- Are you an effective communicator?- Are you able to advise Police officers on cultural beliefs, needs and protocols of the community in which they work?- Do you have the ability to establish and maintain communication between community and police?- Do you have the ability to work as part of a team but also be an independent leader?
