Ayers Rock Resort, based in the Northern Territory, is the largest integrated resort complex in the southern hemisphere. Owned by the Indigenous Land Corporation, Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia provides experience-based holidays with over 5 hotels and 15 dining options.
Who We Are Seeking
A passionate and qualified individual who is driven and focused with a desire to learn and succeed in a culinary/hospitality career to join our Kitchen Team at Ayers Rock Resort who has;
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years of experience post-apprenticeship in a similar role
* Previous experience within a large kitchen operation
* Experience within a hotel or resort environment
* Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP principles.
Position Roles
Full time positions available.
* Commis Chef ($31.84 per hour) – Assist the kitchen team in delivering high-quality food to guests by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and supporting the kitchen team in the execution of exceptional culinary experiences.
* Demi Chef ($33.24 per hour) – Oversee a designated section of the kitchen, supporting the Chef de Partie in daily operations, and ensuring the consistent preparation of high-quality dishes. The Demi Chef also takes on leadership responsibilities, including training junior staff and stepping into a supervisory role when required.
* Cook ($29.53 per hour) – Preparing and presenting dishes that meet the hotel's culinary standards and delight guests, by following recipes, maintaining food safety practices, and contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment that ensures smooth service and quality cuisine.
