The Role
Continuing, Full-Time (initially concurrent with Associate Head role for up to 3 years)
Level D Salary: AUD162,474 to AUD178,876 plus allowances and 17% superannuation
Level E Salary: AUD208,956 plus allowances and 17% superannuation
Locations: Bathurst or Port Macquarie
Role Overview
Seeking an inspiring leader in paramedicine to provide leadership in research, education, and community engagement. The candidate will promote excellence in teaching, research, and professional activities, supporting academic staff. Responsibilities include delivering undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and growing the discipline's research profile. The candidate should have an active research profile aligned with the university's strategic goals and demonstrate outstanding leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
About the Position
As the Associate Head of School - Paramedicine, responsibilities include supervising academic staff and managing strategic and operational objectives within the discipline. The role includes acting on behalf of the Head of School when delegated.
Qualifications and Experience
A doctoral qualification relevant to paramedicine.
Current registration or eligibility with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.
Outstanding academic achievements at national/international levels.
Significant experience and knowledge in the discipline, with capacity for practice innovation.
Effective leadership and team-building skills in academic and clinical settings.
