Ausgrid, together with PLUS ES (part of the Ausgrid Group), is leading the delivery of community battery and grid‐scale BESS programs across our network. This role offers an opportunity to play a key part in one of Australia's most dynamic renewable energy growth areas.
Responsibilities
* Reporting to the PLUS ES BESS Engineering and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and commissioning of primary, secondary and communications equipment across distribution, zone and sub‐transmission networks. Your work will help ensure we deliver safe, reliable and sustainable energy for our customers and communities.
* As an Advanced Technician, you will support Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) operations, undertaking Level 2 maintenance, technical checks and on‐call fault response. You will play a hands‐on role in setting technical and safety standards, contributing to the performance, reliability and future of energy storage and grid stability.
* This role requires remote travel and may also involve on‐call and after‐hours response.

* Experience in high‐voltage operating/permit applications and in commissioning and maintenance of protection systems or industrial automation systems.
* Experience in commissioning and fault‐finding of protection systems across basic, complex, and sub‐transmission environments.
