What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead USU’s Membership Programs and drive student engagement strategies across campus.
* Manage a dynamic team responsible for volunteering, student voice, international programs, and more.
* Oversee campaigns and experiences that boost member acquisition and retention.
* Collaborate with USYD stakeholders to deliver seamless, high-impact experiences.
* Use data to design and improve programs that reflect students’ evolving needs.
* Represent USU on university-wide initiatives, working parties and planning forums.
* Manage budgets, reporting, and team development with precision and heart.
What You Bring
* 3+ years in membership-based or youth-focused program management roles.
* Experience leading diverse teams and building high-performing, inclusive cultures.
* Strong strategic thinking and project leadership capabilities.
* Excellent stakeholder communication - you work confidently with everyone from students to university execs.
* Demonstrated budget and financial management experience ($250K+).
* A passion for improving student lives and elevating engagement through innovation and insight.
* Relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience).
IT’S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE...
* Experience in student organisations, creative arts, volunteering, or elections.
* Worked with international students and understand their needs.
* WHS and EEO knowledge, or a current NSW Driver’s Licence.

About The Usu
The USU (University of Sydney Union) is proudly Australia’s oldest and largest not-for-profit student organisation, dedicated to providing students with the best possible university experience.
Led by a student board elected by our members, the USU provides fun things on campus, such as festivals, events and parties. We manage a diverse range of programs, including an active volunteering program and a Language Exchange, to name a few. In addition, we support over 200 Clubs and Societies as well as operate bars, food and retail outlets across campus, providing great coffee, affordable fresh food, graduation gown hire and official USYD merchandise.
