Hays is supporting a major Federal Government program seeking a Lead Dynamics Developer to direct delivery across multiple engineering squads. You will lead a team of five senior developers and drive high‑quality CRM outcomes across a large enterprise environment.
This role offers a 12‑month contract with a 6‑month extension option. You will work in a hybrid arrangement across ACT, QLD, VIC, or NSW. A Baseline security clearance is required before commencement.
Your role
You will:
Lead a team of five senior Dynamics developers
Direct technical delivery across platform, automation, and integration squads
Deliver hands‑on development including plugins, extensions, and integrations
Review technical designs and enforce architectural standards
Grow capability across the team through mentoring and technical oversight
Work closely with architects, business analysts, and project managers
Support release management, review code, merge changes, and resolve DevOps issues
Support production systems through triage and fix work
Your skills
You have:
Strong C# development for Dynamics 365 including plugins, workflows, and web resources
Strong JavaScript skills for client‑side scripting
Deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 modules and Dataverse
Experience customising entities, forms, views, charts, dashboards
Experience configuring business rules, workflows, process flows, actions
Integration experience using APIs, web services, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, or custom solutions
Experience with PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate
SQL Server experience for database operations
Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for deployments and version control
Understanding of Dynamics 365 security roles and profiles
Ability to apply UX principles
Experience using XrmToolBox
Exposure to Azure Functions and Azure AD
Experience leading senior technical staff in complex environments
