Are you committed to creating inclusive learning environments and supporting students with disabilities to thrive? As an Equitable Learning Advisor at GOTAFE, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing Equitable Learning Plans and negotiating reasonable adjustments that enable equal access to education. Working closely with students, trainers, and support employees, you'll promote independence and ensure that GOTAFE delivers a safe, inclusive and supportive experience for every learner.
As the successful candidate you will have:
Experience supporting people with disabilities in a case management or education setting.
Knowledge of the Disability Discrimination Act, Disability Education Standards, and inclusive education practices.
Experience developing individualised learning plans and coordinating supports.
Excellent communication skills to engage students, employees, and external agencies.
A collaborative, student-centred approach and a commitment to equity in education.
A relevant qualification will be advantageous but is not essential.
If you are successful in this role you will be required to provide:
A current Police Check (date of issue is to be no more than 6 months prior to commencement date)
A current Working with Children Check - Employee (or proof of application)
A current Driver's Licence (Car).
The salary for this position is PACCT 5 under the GOTAFE Enterprise PACCT Agreement ****.
