Job Title: Financial Services Consultant
Role Overview:
The Financial Services Consultant will be responsible for managing the distribution of accounts for certification and approval by emergency services organisations, ensuring late payment interest is monitored. They will also facilitate user access and perform reviews to financial systems, including Basware, ANZ Expense Manager System, Microsoft Financial Reporting System, Masterpiece and Local Funds Reporting System.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the distribution of accounts for certification and approval by emergency services organisations.
* Facilitate user access and perform reviews to financial systems.
* Effectively perform the duties of the Local Funds Reporting System Administrator and provide support to volunteers in the use and maintenance of the system.
* Lead the end-of-month reporting process for the Financial Services team.
* Prepare reports that support day-to-day management of various portfolio budgets within the agency.
* Research and analyse data to produce high-level analysis and provide recommendations in written reports.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and annual statutory financial reports for emergency services agencies.
* Provide high-level financial advice to the executive, staff and volunteers of the emergency services sector.
* Support the Manager Financial Services and Business Managers in relation to high-level agency budget processes and planning matters.
* Manage the relationship with Shared Services SA and monitor grant funded programs and associated expenditure.
* Review and develop financial policies and procedures for the emergency services sector.
* Manage, lead and implement financial improvement projects.
Essential Qualifications:
An appropriate degree in accounting, finance and economics majoring in accounting is required.
