Role Overview
The General Manager of Data and Technology Utilities oversees the development, maintenance, and support of our Data Platform and technology utilities, crucial for executing our strategy. This includes managing data infrastructure, personnel, and processes for data sourcing, storage, security, and distribution, as well as key utilities like HUBconnect, Engage, myprosperity, RPA, and other tools.
Responsibilities
1. Data Strategy Execution: Lead the implementation of data initiatives, expanding ingestion and developing data marts for accessible data resources.
2. Infrastructure Management: Oversee data technology infrastructure, ensuring it supports HUB24's products and services.
3. Product Development: Manage the design and support of key utilities to align with strategic goals.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal and external partners to gather requirements and develop solutions.
5. Strategic Planning: Develop technology roadmaps and resource plans, ensuring alignment across teams.
6. Team Leadership: Foster a positive work environment, develop team skills, and manage performance.
7. Process Improvement: Identify and implement operational enhancements.
8. Security and Compliance: Ensure data security, confidentiality, and regulatory adherence.
9. Documentation and Training: Maintain thorough records and provide team education.
10. Innovation: Promote adoption of new technologies and industry leadership.
11. Reporting: Prepare monthly reports on operations and strategy metrics.
12. Financial Oversight: Assist with budgeting and financial accountability.
13. Incident Management: Lead incident response and conduct reviews.
14. Architecture Alignment: Ensure initiatives align with architectural standards and utilize appropriate technologies.
15. Leadership Support: Support executive decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software Engineering or related field.
- Optional: MBA or Master's in relevant areas.
- At least 5 years in senior technology leadership roles.
- Experience leading data and software engineering teams.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments (GCP, AWS).
- Experience with low-code platforms like OutSystems and UIPath is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of software lifecycle, data governance, security, and compliance.
- Familiarity with financial market operations and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
- Awareness of financial regulations (ISO27001, GS007, CPS230, CPS234, etc.).
- Commitment to data privacy and security.
- Flexible to support out-of-hours work when needed.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
