Your new role
This role is integral to the smooth delivery of civil and landscaping projects, with primary responsibilities focused on operating a tandem and trailer to transport materials between worksites and quarries. The driver will also contribute to efficient site operations by using an excavator to load material for disposal, ensuring projects progress without delays or reliance on additional operators. While excavator experience is not essential, it is highly regarded and offers a strong advantage, providing flexibility and increased value to the team. As part of a collaborative workforce, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting large-scale open space, streetscape and civil construction projects, ensuring timely material movement that underpins the company's reputation for cost-effective, high-quality outcomes. This position directly contributes to client satisfaction and overall project success by keeping operations seamless, safe and efficient, while reflecting the organisation's commitment to reliable service and excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
* Current HC truck licence with proven experience operating tandem and trailer
* Strong knowledge of safe loading, unloading and transportation of materials
* Excavator operating experience highly regarded, particularly for loading material for disposal
* Ability to work efficiently across multiple sites and coordinate movements between quarries and projects
* Strong focus on safety and adherence to workplace health and safety practices
* Reliability and punctuality to ensure timely delivery of project requirements
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with site teams and supervisors
