Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent will undertake acquisitions, cataloguing, and classification processes to ensure access to library resources. This includes managing the acquisition of new titles, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
Additionally, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the Resources and Technology Section, maintain the integrity of the bibliographic database, and contribute to the development and upkeep of both physical and digital collections.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Library and Information Science or related field
* Eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association
* Experience with contemporary Library Management Systems
* Relevant experience in library work and sound knowledge of public library practices
