Lead PMO, governance, commercial management and technology risk across a major enterprise transformation environment.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced PMO, governance and commercial leader to shape an integrated function across technology portfolio management, vendor governance, commercial discipline, risk, compliance and assurance.
The role sits within a large, complex and highly regulated infrastructure organisation undergoing significant transformation and investment. It will provide independent oversight across the technology portfolio, improve executive visibility, strengthen vendor and commercial governance, and ensure risk and assurance disciplines are embedded effectively.
This is not a pure delivery role. It is a cross‑functional leadership role focused on structure, transparency, commercial control, risk discipline and better decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
* Lead PMO, portfolio governance, assurance, commercial and risk disciplines
* Improve vendor governance, contract discipline and commercial performance
* Strengthen reporting, controls, risk management and executive confidence
* Establish clear frameworks across portfolio, governance and commercial management
* Partner with senior technology, finance, procurement, risk and audit stakeholders
* Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team through a period of uplift and maturity
About you
You will bring senior leadership experience across PMO, governance, portfolio management and commercial/vendor management. You may come from a technology governance, enterprise PMO, CIO office, commercial/vendor management, transformation or technology risk background.
You will have strong commercial acumen, confidence working with vendors and contracts, and the ability to operate in complex regulated environments. You will be comfortable challenging senior stakeholders constructively and creating structure without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Experience across technology transformation, infrastructure, utilities, financial services, telecommunications, government, insurance or other regulated environments will be highly regarded.
