Coordinator Human Resources

Temporary from 9 June 2026 until 18 June 2027

Up to Full Time

Band 8 Salary: $125,281.66 per year plus 12% superannuation

Location: Morwell

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Human Resources leader to join our dynamic and fast paced team as Coordinator Human Resources on a temporary basis.

About this Role

In this role, you will lead the growth, development, and diversity of Council's workforce, through the coordination and delivery of high quality, efficient human resources services.

You will use your expertise and management experience to lead, guide and provide high level advice to the team and senior decision makers on:

* Industrial and employee relations matters
* People management practices
* Diversity and development initiatives; and
* End to end recruitment

Reporting to the Manager People & Culture, this role has five direct reports and leads a team of ten.

About You

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about adding value and promoting a high performing culture where all employees can enjoy their work.

You will promote a ‘no wrong door’ approach, with skills to empower employees and work collaboratively and cooperatively with all departments and disciplines across the organisation to produce solutions and strategies.

You will also have:

* An appropriate tertiary qualification in industrial relations, employee relations and/or Human Resource management, in addition to substantial experience relevant to the position.
* Substantial experience in managing and negotiating sensitive industrial relations matters including Enterprise Agreement negotiations and representation at the Fair Work Commission, Human Rights Commission, or other industrial bodies.
* Demonstrated experience in undertaking workplace investigations and overseeing performance management disciplinary processes.
* Excellent people leadership skills and experience.
