Healthstyles Clinic is seeking another dedicated Social Worker / Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Tasmanian owned and operated team If you're seeking a change away from just being a number in a large organisation and want to be known, appreciated and supported, Healthstyles Clinic is the answer.

Our team of BSPs, psychologists and administrators have been working with the Tasmanian community for nearly 30 years. We're on the ground and able to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of our participants.

What is the role?

We are seeking a practitioner to provide general therapy and Positive Behaviour Support to our participants. Working full time or part time with a range of stakeholders, we develop specialised plans and identify strategies to improve communication skills and quality of life for our participants.

Work with a variety of stakeholders to understand participant's situations and assist them to develop skills and strategies.

Conduct functional behaviour observations and assessments for NDIS participants both at the clinic and out in the field.

Develop and implement evidence-based positive behaviour support plans and prepare reports in line with NDIS requirements.

Provide training for families and support services to implement plans and strategies.

Liaise with participants, staff and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate may also be able to provide other general therapy services to our participants and customers based on the qualifications and skills they bring to the role.

What can you bring to the role?

To be considered for this opportunity you must have:

* Experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or other highly relevant clinical therapy work, preferable with an NDIS Practitioner number.
* Experience working with people with disability, their families and supports in a meaningful way.
* The ability to work independently to manage a clinical caseload and develop reports and programs.
* Strong observational, research and communication skills.
* Undergraduate or post-graduate Social Work or other relevant Allied Health degree.
* Membership or eligibility to be a member of a professional body such as Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or similar.
* A current working with vulnerable people registration.
