At Cochlear, we are seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to join our global headquarters in Macquarie University, Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing stable and reliable manufacturing processes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative and diverse group of people to drive process improvement projects and develop capabilities to manufacture increasing volumes.
You will be working closely with complex stakeholders to design and implement safe, scalable, stable and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Developing stable and reliable manufacturing processes within our organization and at suppliers of manufactured components.
2. Supporting the supply chain and R&D group project execution by implementing manufacturing processes for new and commercially available products.
3. Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with quality management systems and international regulations.
4. Relocating or duplicating processes across the manufacturing network to meet business objectives.
5. Delivering complex processes within project timelines and area of expertise.
About You
We are looking for individuals with tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering. Experience in a similar engineering role within a highly regulated industry is preferred.
The ideal candidate should have experience in either process development or mechanical design, as well as knowledge of risk management methodology and validation/verification of manufacturing processes.
