Machine operator - trade assistant (melbourne)

We are seeking a Manual Metal Cutting Machine Operator to join our established engineering company in the eastern suburbs of Boronia. The role involves cutting steel on a band‐saw, operating forklifts, using an overhead crane, and performing general factory hand duties.

• Cut steel on a band‐saw and set up/run the machine
• Operate forklifts to move materials safely
• Operate overhead crane for material handling
• Perform general factory hand work as required

• Experience with metal cutting machines
• High attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Accountability for quality and efficiency
• Versatility to undertake various tasks in a day
• Use of accurate measuring equipment
