Your New Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join the Accounts team on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Accounts and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees, covering office, café, and manufacturing staff. You will also be involved in a variety of payroll-related reporting and assist with general accounting duties when required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full-function payroll processing on a weekly basis
- Processing of daily timesheets
- Reconciliation and reporting of payroll items (Super, Payroll Tax, CSA, WorkCover)
- Handling payroll queries and providing support to employees
- Supporting internal and external payroll administration and reporting
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within payroll processes
- Assisting with general accounts duties including AR, AP, and credit control
Who You Are To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in high-volume payroll processing
- Strong understanding of payroll functions, superannuation, and taxation
- Experience with Employment Hero or similar payroll platforms (highly regarded)
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A positive and proactive attitude, aligned with company values
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Full-time work rights in Australia
