The position of Lecturer will contribute to teaching, learning and scholarship at AIE Institute. The
Lecturer is responsible for undertaking undergraduate teaching and learning, scholarship, and service and engagement. Teaching responsibilities include scholarly approaches to the delivery of courses and innovative teaching and learning pedagogies.
AIE Institute is seeking to appoint an academic member of staff who will collaborate to implement curricula that meet the Threshold Standards 2021 under the Higher Education Standards Framework and professional accreditation standards, where relevant. The Lecturer is also expected to provide academic advice and support to students within the policies and procedures of AIE Institute.
This role includes teaching in the areas of game design and development including level design, interactive narrative design, quality assurance, gameplay testing, interface design, human computer interaction and user experience design, graphical user interface design, virtual and augmented reality technologies and game studies.

- Postgraduate qualification in the discipline area or closely related field
- Demonstrated skills in tools and software packages relevant to the areas listed above
- Proven ability to provide high quality teaching at undergraduate level, with a sound understanding of current issues in the discipline area
- Proven track record of scholarly activities, publishing history or research
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-disciplinary team
- Experience in academic administration and willingness to support students
- Proven track record in establishing and maintaining external relationships with industry or professional associations
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- PhD in the discipline area or related field
- Experience in various modes of teaching delivery
- Experience in curriculum design and review
- Experience as a professional in the area
- Experience in governance committees.
