Payroll Officer Location: Sydney, NSW
Work Type: Full Time | Office Based (5 days per week)
The Opportunity We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Officer to join our Finance team in Sydney. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
* Process fortnightly payroll for Australia and New Zealand
* Manage payroll variations, employee changes and commission payments
* Data entry of new starters and employee updates
* Maintain and update payroll master data (ADP)
* Calculate termination payments
* Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
* Prepare and submit Superannuation and Payroll Tax calculations
* Manage the payroll inbox and respond to employee queries
* Prepare fortnightly, monthly and ad hoc payroll reporting
* Escalate issues proactively to ensure timely resolution
* Liaise with HR, Legal and other internal stakeholders
This role will evolve in line with business needs and offers exposure to broader payroll functions.
About You You are highly organised, accurate and proactive, with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
You will bring:
* Initial exposure to payroll legislation and compliance requirements
* Intermediate Excel skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience using ADP or a similar payroll system will be highly regarded.
