Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to participate in daily activities and living skills programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting participants with daily personal hygiene and care tasks.
* Providing emotional support and encouragement.
* Facilitating participant communication and enhancing their choice and decision-making processes.
* Implementing and monitoring Behaviour Management Strategies as required.
* Goal Planning and tracking.
* Empowering participants with learning, skill development and employment.
* Transporting participants to medical and other appointments, and social activities as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Certificate III or IV or above in Disability or Aged Care.
2. NDIS Worker Screening Check.
3. 100 points of ID (Citizenship/Passport/Driver License/Visa & Granted Form, Medicare Card or government Issued Document).
4. Police Clearance.
5. First Aid + CPR.
6. Manual Handling.
7. Medication certificate.
8. Car Rego.
9. Car Insurance Comprehensive.
10. Covid-19 Vaccinations 3 dose.
11. MUST BE AVAILABLE AT LEAST 5 DAYS.
