**Patient Services Assistant - Allambee (Kingston Centre)**
**Permanent part-time**

**Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
The General Services department at Kingston Hospital requires a qualified Patient Services Assistant to join the team at Allambee and be part of a site based team supported by the greater Support Services Monash Health Team.
**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Ward cleaning
- Serving meals and mid meals and kitchen duties
- Patient discharge assistance
- Assisting Nursing staff as requested
- Transfer & cleaning of ward equipment
- Patient transfers with use of equipment; bed movers and wheelchairs.

**What you need**:
- Certificate III Health Services Assistant (Essential)
- Previous experience as a patient services assistant (Essential)
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and/or patient services from a health care or
hospitality environment (desirable)
- Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1 - (_Desirable) _
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Basic to intermediate digital literacy
