Mental Health Professional - Child Support Role
The Royal Flying Doctor Service is seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join its Child and Parenting Support Team.

In this position, you will deliver 1:1 clinical counselling, including play-based therapy for young people and their parents, addressing challenges such as stress, grief, and trauma. You will also provide psycho-educational sessions for school staff to better support children dealing with anxiety and other learning difficulties.
* Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering mental health services to children, parents, and carers in Normanton, Croydon, and Karumba.
* Working collaboratively with other providers to ensure comprehensive care and building strong partnerships to enhance the quality of service delivery.
As a Mental Health Professional, you will be part of a team dedicated to promoting wellbeing and delivering high-quality mental health care to those who need it most.
Requirements:
* Registration with AHPRA or membership of the AASW.
* A qualification in Psychology, Social Work (Accredited with AASW), Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing (Suitable for Mental Health credentialing).
* Post-graduate experience of at least 5 years in a relevant clinical field.
* Demonstrated experience in brief interventions, therapeutic counselling, case management, and mental health education with children and young people.
* An understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.
