We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Brisbane-based law firm seeking an experienced Corporate and Estate Lawyer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a direct placement role — the successful candidate will be employed by and work exclusively with the client law firm, with remuneration at Australian market-standard rates.
A well-established Brisbane law firm is looking for a skilled Corporate and Estate Lawyer to manage a diverse caseload spanning corporate advisory and estate matters. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role requiring regular office presence and court appearances.
Responsibilities
* Advise on corporate matters including company formation, structuring, governance, and compliance
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and corporate documents
* Support business transactions including due diligence and contract management
* Handle estate administration and succession planning matters
* Represent clients in court and attend in‑person hearings
* Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and courts
* Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory obligations
* Maintain accurate records and documentation across all matters
Requirements
* Qualified lawyer with a current Australian practising certificate
* 3–5 years post‑qualification experience in corporate and/or estate law
* Strong knowledge of Australian corporate law and estate legal processes
* Proven court appearance and client representation experience
* Experience with Smokeball or similar legal practice management software
* Based in Brisbane and available for full‑time onsite work
* Direct employment with the client law firm
* Competitive AUD salary at market‑standard rates
* Exposure to diverse corporate and estate matters
* Pathway from part‑time to full‑time engagement
