About the Role
Pajingo Gold Mine seeks a dedicated and experienced Paramedic to join their Safety team on a permanent 8/6 roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of mine site emergency response, including the provision of Industrial Medical Services and emergency response team training.
* Develop, implement, review and facilitate all aspects of emergency response systems on site
* Maintain and ensure all emergency response equipment is in place and ready for use
* Develop and deliver ERT training as directed by HSECT Manager
* Provide first aid and Industrial Medic services as required
* Maintain drug register in accordance with Poisons permit and QLD Health Acts and clinical governance
* Administer S4 & S8 as required by company protocols and relevant Acts and Regulations
* Manage Medical Centre Clinic supplies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
* Support health promotion initiatives
* Develop and maintain relationships with line managers to ensure they are equipped with knowledge and resources to deliver a consistent safety message
* Collaborate with HSECT MANAGER to develop and maintain business relationships with regulatory bodies for reporting on and governance of safety and health matters
About You
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
* Diploma of Paramedicine
* AHPRA registration as a Paramedic - without restrictions
* Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (including Underground Component)
* HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
* Occupational Health & Safety Qualifications or willingness to obtain
* Cert IV Training & Assessment
* Recent experience working in a remote Paramedic/Medic role
* Proficiency in MS Office and INX platforms (including InControl and InTuition)
