Contract: 1x Ongoing, Part-Time. 40.0 hours per fortnight
The position:
As valued a valued member of our multidisciplinary perioperative team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of the perioperative patients in a competent and professional manner. This role will enable you to rapidly expand your nursing skills with exposure to a range of areas including PACU, Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics. Your days will always be dynamic and engaging Participation in an on-call roster is required to ensure continuity of service.

What you need:
* Current AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse
* Acute nursing experience and experience in Surgical or Perioperative nursing is required
* Demonstrated competence in acute and/or surgical nursing including understanding and experience in clinical handover, escalation of care and patient education
* A sound understanding of the functions and responsibilities of the perioperative nurse including care of the unconscious patient

The unit:
The Perioperative Suite at BRHS provides a full range of services for both local and visiting specialists. These include General surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Paediatrics, Dental and Gastroenterology.
