We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to support our payroll function. This role is ideal for someone with experience in documenting payroll processes and supporting system implementations.
About the Role
* You will provide comprehensive payroll support, assist in documenting current processes, and help deliver a new payroll system.
* You will ensure accurate and timely payments, maintain compliance, and drive efficiency improvements across our payroll function.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll Processing: Manage weekly payroll, process employee remuneration, entitlements, deductions, and superannuation (including salary sacrifice).
2. Employee Records: Maintain accurate employee and leave records, including shift rosters and various leave types.
3. Reporting and Compliance: Verify and reconcile payroll reports and data in line with awards, policies, and enterprise agreements.
4. Advice and Support: Advise employees on payroll, leave entitlements, and employment matters.
5. System Queries and Compliance: Assist with payroll-related system queries, statistical reporting, and compliance requirements.
6. Process Documentation: Document payroll processes and contribute to the implementation of a new payroll system.
7. Audit Support: Conduct peer verification checks and support internal auditing processes.
