Mechanical testing laboratory in Archerfield is seeking a hands-on Workshop Hand /Laboratory Technician to support materials preparation and mechanical testing operations.
This is a physically demanding role within a busy industrial workshop environment, involving cutting and preparing polyethylene (PE) water and gas pipe samples using chainsaws and workshop machinery, including CNC mills, lathes and grinders.
The role suits resilient, mechanically minded individuals who enjoy practical work and are looking to develop their technical skills in workshop and laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chainsaw cutting and preparing PE pipe specimens for testing
- Operating workshop machinery including CNC mills, lathes and grinders
- Assisting with sample preparation and testing processes
- Maintaining workshop safety and cleanliness
