Teacher - Essential Maths Job Description
The Industry School, formerly the AITC, offers a unique educational experience that combines industry-driven learning with traditional classroom settings. Young people in Years 10 to 12 can participate in a two-to-three-year program designed to develop employability skills and achieve individualized learning goals.
This program is tailored to meet the requirements of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). Our aim is to provide a seamless blend of senior education and vocational training that engages young people in purposeful learning experiences relevant to the real world of industry.
We are seeking a Teacher to join our team at The Industry School's Brisbane location. This full-time 12-month parental leave contract will focus on teaching Essential Maths to Year 11 and 12 students. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, as well as a positive, self-driven, and professional attitude.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering curriculum programs to achieve expected outcomes for young people, ensuring all assessment and compliance tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. They will also perform in accordance with the AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers and contribute to the planning, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of quality teaching and learning programs.
