What You’ll Do
Lead the planning and delivery of responsive, evidence-based MHAOD and SEWB services.
Oversee clinical governance, resourcing, and continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.
Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, NGOs, ACCHOs, and Primary and Acute Care Services.
Drive regional engagement, business planning, and strategic reform in line with government health agendas.
Represent the region on key committees and inter-agency working groups.
Prepare high-level briefings, Cabinet submissions, Ministerial correspondence, and complex reports.
What You’ll Bring
A degree in a clinical discipline related to Mental Health and / or AOD / Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same. Demonstrated contribution to the profession and / or specialty at local and national level (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
Deep understanding of contemporary mental health and SEWB frameworks and service models.
Proven strategic leadership experience in complex service environments, preferably within remote or cross-cultural contexts.
Strong knowledge of remote Aboriginal health service delivery, with cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Desirable : Master’s Degree, or equivalent, beyond entry to practice relevant to specialty area. Graduate Certificate in Management or equivalent.

Located in Nhulunbuy you will conduct regular outreach visits to Groote Eylandt, to provide support to staff who are based on Island, and to meet with stakeholders as required.
