Our client is a well-established organisation within the meat industry known for its strong presence in the market and commitment to excellence. They are a major employer in the region and have well over 40 years of experience servicing the Australian meat industry.

Job Description

* Develop, implement, and review WHS policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend control measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Provide WHS training and support to employees across the engineering and manufacturing teams.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company standards.
* Foster a safety-first culture and promote employee engagement in WHS initiatives.
* Prepare and present WHS performance reports to senior management.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in workplace health and safety practices.

The Successful Applicant

A successful WHS Manager should have:

* Qualifications in workplace health and safety or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in a WHS role within the FMCG or similar industry.
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and industry standards in Australia.
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills to influence and guide teams effectively.
* Experience conducting risk assessments and leading incident investigations.
* A proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety challenges.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an engineering and manufacturing environment.
