Therapeutic Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated clinician to fill this therapeutic specialist role. This position requires clinical expertise, blended with real-world impact, guiding and shaping the care of vulnerable children in our community.
The successful candidate will work alongside case managers, carer development staff, and other clinical specialists to provide trauma-informed consultation, intervention, and support that empowers carers and uplifts young people.
This is an ongoing part-time opportunity requiring 60.8 hours per week. The candidate will be based in our Barwon Program working out of our Geelong Office within our Home Based Care Program.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in mental health, trauma, and child and adolescent development. You should understand the weight of responsibility that comes with this work and be driven by a desire to make things better.
Key Selection Criteria:
* A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
* An appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
* Current registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a higher degree in psychology at master's level (preferred).
* Post Graduate training in relevant child, adolescent, and family clinical practice, family therapy, and systemic thinking (strongly preferred).
