The Opportunity
Join our team as our next Commercial Finance Analyst based in Macquarie Park, Sydney.
The position forms a part of our highly skilled Commercial Finance team and provides financial support to the National Retail Sales, Food Service Sales & Marketing teams to drive long term growth & profitability in the Cake Mix Category.
**You will**:
- Own and update position reports, pricing tools, and support for traded commodities, ensuring accurate insights and financial performance.
- Analyze and manage marketing and trade spend, including promotional spend and trading terms accruals, to align with expectations.
- Oversee financial performance by exception reporting, reviewing forecasts, ensuring month-end financial integrity, and providing insightful commentary.
- Manage marketing spend, customer master data, product profitability analysis, and budget target allocations to sales.
- Partner with the business for profitability analysis, performance measurement, pricing request management, and ad hoc analysis or project work.
About You
- Proven experience Commercial Finance Analyst experience in a fast-paced commercial environment. FMCG experience is highly desired
- Strong financial acumen with excellent analysis, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Proactive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while managing competing deadlines.
- Customer-focused with the capability to make informed recommendations and prioritize sales-oriented solutions.
- Confidence using Excel - Macros, Conditional Sum, Power Pivot tables
- Strong systems skills, Business Intelligence, Data mining tools, SAP, BW, and reporting tools
- CA/CPA/MBA qualification is desired but not essential
