Role and Responsibilities: As a Casual Youth Residential Worker, you will have a pivotal role in supporting young residents with their daily activities and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting youth with daily living tasks, including personal care and hygiene.
* Providing emotional support and building positive relationships with residents.
* Facilitating recreational and educational activities to promote growth and development.
* Supporting the youth in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
* Ensuring a safe and nurturing living environment.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation of residents' progress and well-being.
* Engaging with Young People using trauma informed responses
Requirements:
* A Diploma in Community Services required.
* A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including Sleepovers, weekends, and holidays.
* Previous experience/qualification working with youth and a desire to nurture youth to the best of your ability
* A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Ability to pass a background check and obtain relevant clearances.
